Job Description
Baker Hughes Reservoir Development Services (RDS) has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager based in Rio De Janiero, BRAZIL.
RDS serves the oil & gas industry in developing reservoir-driven solutions covering the full asset life cycle, from the earliest phases of project development through abandonment. Our global teams in Aberdeen, London, Delft, Dubai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Calgary, Buenos Aires, and Houston work diligently to find and maximize reserves; increase production rates and recovery factors; select, define, execute field development plans and analyze acquisition and divestiture options.
RDS’ Subsurface Integrity & Evaluation (SIE) is a newly formed commercial consulting group performing geosciences, geomechanics (GMI) and real-time advice for the Oil & Gas Industry, using proprietary software. Our SIE group is quickly expanding its global operations and is now seeking talented and motivated professionals to join our dynamic organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Self-starter who, through scouting, develops and implements strategic and tactical marketing plans to grow consulting business, particularly geomechanics and real-time pore pressure consulting, in Brazil.
Team player who facilitates the formation of alliances or joint ventures, including effective communication between all stakeholders (customers/company).
Assures strategies and tactics are consistent with overall objectives for the organization.
Prioritizes product opportunities to maximize sales and profits based on scouting, including proposal generation and ensure on-time delivery.
Monitors and evaluates programs and expenditures, including accounts receivable.
Handles special projects, as assigned.
Develops internal customers/stakeholders related to products/applications and services.
Attending industry conferences and events.
Skills/Knowledge:
Basic understanding of geoscience and engineering.
Comprehensive understanding of customer requirements (including project scope) and market conditions.
Commitment to customer service and ability to work in team-oriented environment.
Comprehensive understanding and presentations of company products/applications and services of primary focus.
Good business acumen.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English, Spanish and Portuguese) and great listening skills.
Ability to develop internal customer focus for specific products/applications and services with stakeholders.
Commitment, enthusiasm and pro-active drive.
Education/Experience/Training:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (Geoscience related mayors like Geology, Geophysics, Civil / Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering), and 8+ years experience in related field.
